Overview: NZ
Top 50, is a dynamic listing of New Zealand only web sites. Members
send users (or hits) to the NZ Top 50 and benefit from the increased
traffic and exposure their site receives by climbing up the list.

the Moment feature. Join today and enjoy more hits!

Site
Rankings: Sites are ranked for
the number of users (or hits) they send to the NZ Top 50 website
via their special linking code and choice of banners and text
links.

Site
of the Moment: The site of the
moment is randomly selected at every ranking refresh from the
pool of active NZ Top 50 members. This means even if your site
is ranked lower on the list, you still receive extra traffic from
the NZ Top 50.

List
Updates:
The list is updated and re-ranked every hour
|
|
List
Reset: The entire list is reset
once a week, ensuring even footing for all sites. All counters
are reset and ranking begins again based on the numbers of hits
you send compared to other members in the list.

Cheat
Protection: We actively seek
out persons attempting to increase their rankings by sending
fraudulent hits. There are several systems in place to prevent
this from occurring:
Double
Click-Through: Users visiting the NZ Top 50 from members
sites are required to click through twice to enter the site.
This method eliminates most cheating.
IP Blocking: In order to prevent multiple click-throughs
from the same user, a maximum of one vote per user per site
is enforced. This is relative to each site, which means if a
user then votes for another NZ Top 50 site that vote IS counted.

What does "HITS" mean?
A. Hits
are the number of users or visitors a member refers to the NZ
Top 50. The are listed beside each ranking and indicate popularity
by the number of users who have elected to vote by clicking-through.
